Product Review | L'Oréal Pure-Clay Masks

I love face masks, there's just something so ... luxurious about them. They really go down to the base of the skin and help it heal from the inside out. So, when I received the L'Oréal Pure-Clay Mask collection, I was enthralled and couldn't wait to try them out! L'Oréal is known for their exemplary range of skincare products, so I definitely had high expectations from the start. Let me tell you exactly what the L'Oréal Pure-Clay Masks have in store for you!

**Disclaimer: I was provided with free products in exchange for my honest review and/or social coverage. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and not influenced by the company and/or its affiliates in any way. I promise to only recommend products I have used and absolutely love.

I'll start with the packaging. Maybe it's just me but I absolutely LOVE glass beauty products. The heavy glass containers topped with the simple green plastic tops had me hooked instantly! I know, I know, it's the product that really matters, but who doesn't get extra giddy when the product they're buying is pretty enough for an Instagram post

Now, the masks themselves come in three options. You can tell L'Oréal really aimed to provide the perfect mask for every skin type. One mask detoxifies, one mattifies, and the third one exfoliates and refines your skin! I don't know about you, but that covers everything I want for my skin!

So what exactly is in these goodies?..

Basically, each mask has a primary base of three nutritional mineral clays; kaolinite(helps to cleanse and exfoliate), montmorillonite(reduces dryness and helps heal), ghassoul(absorbs excess oil), and other special ingredients collected from all over the world. I know that sounded like a bunch of gibberish, but they are all really good things, I promise!

As you open each mask, a light spa scent hits you and that is one of the things that I love about these masks. It may not be the most important feature, but I would much rather have a fresh scent on my face than an intoxicating one.

I know what you're thinking, "OMG, Conchita, get to the point already..". Okay, okay, okay. Let's start with....

Detox & Brighten

Charcoal is an amazing agent to instantly brighten the skin and rejuvenate it. Combine it with L'Oréal's clay mask formula and the results are stunning. This is the creamiest mask of the bunch. You won't be disappointed because this detox & brighten mask will add a beautiful glow to your skin, making it the perfect remedy for dull skin. If you don't know which mask to buy, I would definitely recommend starting with this one. It does a little bit of everything for you. :)

Purify & Mattify

OMG, the very scent of this mask is able to refresh any bad day. It contains eucalyptus as its magic ingredient, which helps heal skin issues such as acne. The mask works miraculously to unclog your pores and help your skin breathe. Also, it helps control shine and tighten your pores. Whenever I notice my skin is getting a little too oily or have some blemishes I need to dry up, this is what I use. Small tip: If you have dry skin AND are breaking out, I would just use this as a spot treatment so as not to dry out your skin even more.

Exfoliate & Refine

This last mask uses red algae(which revitalizes and energizes the metabolism of the skin) as its active ingredient. The texture in this one is almost like a scrub(a very gentle scrub), whereas the others have a smoother feeling. It's meant to buff out rough skin textures and remove dead skin. It certainly made my skin feel much smoother and even lighter(if that makes any sense?). I was a bit unsure about this one at first, I honestly thought it would aggravate my sensitive skin. To my surprise, the results left me stunned and it actually became my favorite of the three masks during these last winter months. It's great for those who have flaky skin or are in need of a quick facial. ;)

Is this getting too long? Let's wrap things up.

Each mask has its own benefits and is unique in its own way. You are supposed to apply a mask for 10-15 minutes (avoiding your eye and lip area) and then remove it with water. The professionals recommend that you use one three times a week to attain the best results. The great part is that you can opt for all three or you can choose a particular one based on your specific skin issue.

I am literally blown away by the L'Oréal Pure-Clay Mask collection. I expected them to be good, but each mask has effects that superseded my expectations by miles! I definitely recommend these to anyone who is searching for a new face mask or just wants to have their own little spa day at home. One thing is for sure, I am now 10000% hooked on these L'Oréal  Pure-Clay Masks for the long run! ;)
