If you haven't heard about these new highlighters, you must be living under a rock! These last few weeks all I ever see on my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other beauty blogs, are Too Faced's new Love Light Prismatic Highlighters. The heart-shaped compacts have made a comeback! This time instead of Love Flush Blushes, they are 3 beautiful limited-edition highlighters. I love highlighters, but I must admit, what really lured me in was the packaging. It was just too adorable to pass on. ;) These will be launching tomorrow, March 9th on the Too Faced website!
Now while these highlighters may swatch nicely, they don't exactly give a blinding "BAM!" type of glow. If you're the type of person that likes your glow to be bright enough for the Gods to see, these probably aren't for you. I personally love these for everyday use. They are very natural-looking highlighters that go on very sheer and let you build up easily to your intensity preference. They aren't extremely pigmented and don't give an obvious glittery glow. Think of it more as a soft warm spring glow.
They come in three gorgeous shades:
The formula is very smooth and silky. All three blend seamlessly onto any skin tone and look fantastic. Yes, that vibrant gold shade even looks great on extra pasty gals like me! They all just glisten and make people wonder if it's all you or just makeup.
For the swatches above, that's about 4 layers of each one. They do not go on that opaque on the first try, I promise! I just packed them on so you could get a better look at the colors.
So are they worth all the hype? In my opinion, these are definitely worth the hype and the heftier price tag($30 each!), IF you like more of a natural highlight! And you know what? If you prefer a more pigmented highlight, there's nothing wrong with buying these just to add some more gorgeousness to your makeup collection! I mean, LOOK AT THEM!
So what do you think of the Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighters? I think we can all agree the packaging is to die for, but are you as tempted to get them as I was? Let me know below! :)
