Morphe 35R Palette | Review & Swatches
If you've been anywhere near the beauty scene, you've obviously heard of Morphe. And if you have seen posts about Morphe, then you've definitely seen a post or two about their newest creation: the Morphe 35R palette. "Bring the regal look of gold to everyday life with buttery, rich, pigmented shadows in 35 shades of standout color. The mix of mattes and shimmers that range from dark chocolate to café au lait are crowned with standout metallic shades of polished copper and true gold." - This is the description Morphe has on their site for this palette, and I could not agree more. :)
What can I say that others haven't already said about this palette? I am so obsessed with it! To be honest, when I first saw it I thought, "Nah girl, you really don't need it.". Yet the day it launched, I somehow convinced myself I should get it. Well, I am so glad I did! It's BEAUTIFUL! I low key love this more than any other Morphe palette out there. And believe me, that is saying A LOT because the Morphe 35O has been my go-to palette every day for months! (I mean, helloooo! There's a reason that palette is ALWAYS out of stock AND they made a matte and shimmer version of it!) Anyways, enough babbling about the 35O. The new obsession is here and it is called the MORPHE 35-FRICKN-R (minus the 'frickn').
So let's calm down here for a bit and get into the details.. 🙄
The palette has 35 shades: 15 metallic hues, 2 light shimmery mattes, 18 flat mattes. The photos really don't do the palette any justice. The colors are so much more prettier in person. They are soft, buttery, and the pigmentation is fantastic! I truly believe these will look good on anyone no matter their skin tone. It's the perfect summer palette!
The packaging is the basic Morphe plastic black case with the logo on the front. Nothing fancy, but hey at 65 cents per shade, you'll live. Do you really want to have to pay more just for a prettier case? Didn't think so!
Alright, I'm going to stop ranting and just show you the swatches. I tend to get a little carried away with my posts.... 😅
Now in this first photo, I didn't use anything but tape, a Sigma E55 brush, and the palette. No primers or anything.
In this next photo, I sprayed my brush with this Rosewater & Glycerin spray(this one) before switching each shade. It makes the colors go on stronger, and almost gives them a foiled look. As you can see, these swatches are more messy, I'm not going to lie to you... I was too lazy to clean them up. It was late at night, I was out of Doritos, and finished the last season of Friends for the bajillionth time. Sorry! 😇
So there you have it. Everything you need to get your gold on, while not being too harsh on your wallet. 😉 What are your thoughts on Morphe's newest edition? I'll go ahead and end this with some gorgeous looks that have been created with this palette. 💕
