June Favorites

Does it not feel like I just did my May Favorites post like a week ago? 😳 We are halfway through the year. Yup. Halfway! Like, how?! This has been one of the most crazy-weathered summers we’ve had in awhile. I feel like I’ve barely even been able to actually enjoy my summer. Some days are perfect, some are really chilly, and others are unbearably hot. If you've been following me on Snapchat, you've even seen that we had a horrible wind storm and later on a hail storm that really did a number on our house! 😪 So since things have been so out of the ordinary lately, I stayed home more and tried out some new beauty products!

This will definitely be my most beauty-related favorites that I have ever posted. If you've seen my previous monthly favorites, you know I've had a few oddball favorites that have absolutely nothing to do with makeup. 😅 But I promise, this one is full of beauty-related products this time! So let's get started!

1. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

WHYYYYYYYY HAS IT TAKEN ME SOOOOO LONG TO TRY THIS OUT?! I've heard tons and tons of people say incredible things about Urban Decay's setting spray, yet for some reason I was never truly convinced enough to want to blow $31 on it.. But since Urban Decay came out with new packaging for their sprays, the ones with the old packaging were on sale at Sephora for $18. So I finally caved in and decided to give it a try. You guys, this stuff is magic! Seriously, even on days when it is ridiculously hot out and I'm sweating like a piggy in a sauna, my makeup stays untouched! I really wish I would've stocked up! You all neeeeeed to give this a try if you haven't yet. It is a life changer!

2. Vanatei Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick in Countess

I received this for review purposes and absolutely fell in love with it. The pigmentation this liquid lipstick has is insane! One coat is usually enough for me and it stays on alllll day! I usually like to stick with satin lipsticks because I hate when my lips feel super dry with most matte lipsticks, and hate when they're super sticky from glosses. But I didn't feel a drying effect on my lips with this lipstick at all surprisingly. It goes on like a silky gloss, then dries to a beautiful, smear-resistant matte in a couple minutes. Seriously, just look at this video below and tell me that isn't impressive!

See? Didn't budge in the slightest bit.

3. Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Rose

I bought this with my Sephora Beauty Insider points a few weeks ago when I purchased the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette (review and swatches - here) and wasn't actually expecting to like it much. But boy was I wrong! Without even kidding you, I use this almost every single day! It's just such a beautiful rosy, nude color. And since it's so close to my natural lip color, it still looks good hours later when half of it has worn off. I will definitely be purchasing the full-size version once I run out. But so far, it doesn't look like I'll need to buy it anytime soon. A little really does go a long ways with the sample-size!

4. L'Oréal TrueMatch Super-Blendable Concealer

If any of you follow Giselle Cortez on SnapChat (@makeupbygiselle), then you know she uses and talks about this concealer constantly. She swears it's an amazing undereye concealer, and it's affordable so I decided to give it a try. It goes on sooo smoothly, completely covers my dark circles, but doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything! It blends nicely and as long as I set it with some translucent powder, it lasts all day. I wish I would've tried this sooner! Shout out to Giselle for raving so much about this because this is my new holy grail drugstore concealer!

5. L'Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara in Blackest Black

I am obsessed with this mascara! I would say it is very comparable to Too Faced's Better Than Sex mascara, maybe even better? I feel like it isn't as prone to smudging like the Too Faced mascara. It gives my lashes volume, curl, length, and makes them super dark! It doesn't make them clumpy and usually for my daily routine I would apply anywhere from 4-6 coats of 2 different mascaras! But with this I can do 1 coat (although I usually still do 2-3 because let's face it, I'm obsessed) and still have great looking lashes! 10/10 would recommend!

6. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

I've actually been using this primer for years, but since I restocked on it a few weeks ago, I felt like I needed to rave about it for a bit. It's such a great drugstore primer! It reminds me a lot of Benefit's POREfessional. It smoothes out your skin to leave it feeling like a baby's butt! I love it! Helps my foundation apply nicely and helps it last all day. Also, even if you aren't wearing makeup, this primer alone still makes your skin look nicer and blurs out your pores a little. Nothing drastic, but still pretty neat!

7. WunderBrow Eyebrow Gel in Black/Brown and Brunette

I received these two (and Jet Black) along with the Dual Precision Brush for review purposes a couple weeks ago. I was growing out my eyebrows before my brow appointment with AJ (@thebrowbee) so I didn't give these products a try until this past weekend. I fell in love! The gels are waterproof, smudge-proof, transfer-proof AND stay on for up to 3 days!

I love having nice brows, and AJ does a phenomenal job. But I'm not gonna lie, I absolutely CANNOT do my brows every single day. I just can't. I'm way too lazy. 😭 Not only that, I can never make them look exactly how she makes them look! So once she sculpted my brows for me on Friday, I went home and lightly went over her work with this gel, just to guarantee that my brows looked like just did them every day! 😅 This stuff works great and looks so natural! Definitely recommend it! But be careful! It's not easy to take off if you screw up! So maybe make an appointment with a pro like AJ first, just to make sure your brows look perfect before you seal them in with this.

8. Beauty by J & D Acne Control Face Mist

So this is NOT an acne treatment. It is a face mist that is ideal for acne prone skin. It refreshes your skin if you use it a couple times on days when you aren't wearing makeup. For days you are wearing makeup, you can use it to intensify your eyeshadows and highlights or as a setting spray for your makeup. It works wonders on your skin and helps control oil. I have an extremely oily T-zone during the summer and in the short three weeks I've been using this, it has become a staple in my skincare routine AND makeup routine. 👌🏻

*One of these mists along with a couple other products from Beauty by J & D will be included in the giveaway too! Tell your friends and.. Subscribe! Subscribe! Subscribe!

9. Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette

I've been reaching for this palette every single time I've done my makeup. It just has such a great range of colors that no matter what type of look I'm going for, the perfect shades are in here. I'm not going to talk too much about this palette because I just a post about it last week. If you want to read my full review and see some swatches, click here!

10. Blue Bunny Premium Cookies & Cream / Vanilla Bean Ice Creams

Is it really one of MY monthly favorites if there isn't at least one food item in here? 😂 On scorching hot days or on the occasional night when I'm craving something sweet (most nights 🙄), these two are my go-to snacks. These two ice creams are soooooo creamy and delicious. This is a little embarrassing, but we restocked in these TWICE last month. We do 3 small scoops of each ice cream inside a waffle bowl with some chocolate shell syrup. SO GOOD!!!!

And that's a wrap! June was such a great month and July has been off to a great start so far. I've been receiving quite a few new goodies lately and hopefully they'll be good enough to want to include in my July favorites next month! What have been some of your staple products lately? Let me know in the comments below and remember to subscribe and stay tuned for more info on how to enter my '1k Subscribers' giveaway! 😘
